Emperor Entertainment Hotel Ltd. is poised to open its flagship property, the Grand Emperor Hotel, in Macau. The hotel, on Avenida Comercial De Macau, is set to open Jan. 20. However, the casino of the hotel already drew about 20,000 people on its first day of operation earlier this week. The hotel features three floors of casino concourses, eight VIP halls and more than 300 slot machines. A highlight of the hotel lobby is a "golden avenue" comprising 78 one-kilogram gold bars embedded in the floor under 24-hour guard.
