Guadalajara to Host Film, Food and Sports Festivals in March

This March, the worlds of film, sports and culinary arts will intertwine in Guadalajara, Mexico. The capital of the state of Jalisco will host three separate festivals, offering travelers an atypical winter getaway. 

COME International Festival of Flavors

From March 2-5, 2017, Guadalajara will be the gathering place of world-renowned chefs, sommeliers and the high society of the culinary industry at the International Festival of Flavors. The four-day event offers guests the smells and tastes of local creations ranging from gourmet food to wines, beers and tequilas. The event also includes conferences, cooking demonstrations and chef-taught workshops.

2017 World Baseball Classic

Baseball’s biggest international competition, the World Baseball Classic, will be stopping in Guadalajara for the first time ever in 2017. From March 9-13, 2017, Mexico, Italy, Rico and Venezuela will participate in the First Round play. The tournament was formed by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association. World Baseball Classic pays tribute to the global growth of the game. The Guadalajara International Film Festival

Considered the most prestigious film festival in Latin America, the Guadalajara International Film Festival showcases the works of Mexican and international independent filmmakers. From March 10-17, 2017, travelers can watch the festival’s Official Selections, comprised of features, documentaries, and short films. The festival is open to the public and allows opportunities for fans to interact with filmmakers in the region.
