Big news from Spain today, where the the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza has been announced as the hotel brand's Europe debut. It is expected to open in May, 2014.
Palladium Hotel Group will renovate two former Fiesta Hotels (Club Don Toni and Hotel Don Toni), uniting the two properties with a remodeled lobby and multi-purpose space. (This, we hear, will include various dining, shopping and entertainment outlets.)
The hotel is expected to have more than 480 rooms, including 235 suites, and a Rock Spa, Body Rock workout facility, 8,600 square feet of meeting space, music memorabilia and a Rock Shop (for the brand's merchandise). Dining and entertainment venues will include a lobby bar, kids club, teen venue and beach club. Outside, the pool stage will be able to accommodate 2,500 guests for concerts and other large-scale functions.
Beyond two pools (with bars, private cabanas and poolside service), specialty suites will have private swim-out pools.
