On May 9, the Royal Lahaina Resort will host “An Evening in Paradise” to raise funds to benefit the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association’s 31st Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk. At sunset on the Royal Lahaina’s oceanfront Villas Lawn, the day’s activities will culminate in a fun-filled evening celebration that includes food, beverages, silent auction, and concert featuring Grammy-nominated Hawaii musician Henry Kapono.

Funds raised at “An Evening in Paradise” will benefit programs conducted by local charitable and non-profit organizations on Maui and throughout the Islands. “Last year, the Visitor Industry Charity Walk raised over one million dollars to help over 190 charities statewide,” said Gary Hogan, president of Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts, which owns the Royal Lahaina Resort.

The special Henry Kapono concert tickets at the Royal Lahaina are $40. A Premier Event Package is $65, which includes pre-concert entertainment from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring some of Maui’s finest musicians, pupu buffet on the resort’s Villas Lawn, hosted bar, and the Kapono concert.

VIP tables for ten are also available at $650; these tables include everything in the Premium Event Package, plus reserved, private table seating. Event tickets and hotel room/event packages can be reserved at the Royal Lahaina Resort by calling 808-661-3611.

Located on the famed Kaanapali Beach, the on-site amenities at the Royal Lahaina Resort include two, oceanfront swimming pools, a tennis ranch, two restaurants, three bars, nightly torch lighting ceremony, and oceanfront luau. There are two adjacent golf courses, with snorkeling, shopping, and additional dining, and entertainment nearby.
