The Manava Suite Resort Tahiti is only weeks away from its March 1 opening. The resort is the newest addition to South Pacific Management Hotels Resorts & Spa’s portfolio and its first property on French Polynesia’s main island. The resort is designed by local architect/ designer Bruno Hervochon, and all accommodation types are being described as a blend of French Polynesia accents and contemporary amenities. Rooms will also have in-suite kitchen quarters. Superior rooms begin at $170 per night plus tax. Overseeing the property as general manager will be Jean Pierre Challeau. Challeau hails most recently from the company’s Moorea Pearl Resort & Spa, as well as its Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa and Tikehau Beach Resort, where he assisted in the launching efforts.
