Mickey Meets Zagat

This week, Zagat released its first Walt Disney World Insider's Guide, based on reviews submitted by 4,841 visitors who frequent the Orlando resort, as well as the Disney Cruise Line. The guide is the first of its kind for Zagat, as it's the first Disney guide and the first focused on a particular brand, said Michael Mahle, a spokesperson for the company. The Walt Disney World Insider's Guide rates and reviews all six of Disney World's theme parks, including shopping, dining, nightlife, golf, hotels and resorts. Between November 16 and December 6, 2006, Zagat commissioned adult Disney-goers to rate each attraction based on its appeal for children, adults and thrill seekers alike, with Expedition Everest topping the list for adults and Wishes Spectacular taking the top spot for children. Leading the theme-park pack are Magic Kingdom and Epcot, respectively, with 86 percent of respondents saying they've visited the resort as an adult without children. True to its roots, the Zagat guide also reviewed the resort's restaurants, Magic Kingdom's California Grill emerging as the most popular and Victoria & Albert's, also in the Magic Kingdom, garnering the most accolades food-wise.
