One&Only Ocean Club's Slow Season Package

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Travel Agent was recently onsite for the debut of One&Only Ocean Club's Wines in Paradise package—an attempt to get more visitors to the property during the slow season. One&Only Ocean Club's Versailles pool

Pitch this package to clients looking for a short, yet luxurious vacation, as the price is significantly lower than the norm for this popular getaway on Paradise Island. Here's what you need to know about the package to sell it effectively.

The Cost

For three nights and four days, guests pay between $2,438 and $3,638 depending on the wing of the room they choose. If the program is successful, which will be determined after the August and September packages (August 23-26, September 20-23), it will return next summer starting in June.

The Breakdown

We arrived on Sunday and had a welcome cocktail reception at the property's Pool Terrace where we broke the ice with the people we would be freeing our minds and tasting wine with. The following day we passed on our breakfast at the popular Dune restaurant to get an extra hour of sleep before we tried yoga for the first time. The session was in a great setting in front of a beautiful beach.

If the sun gets a little heavy, umbrellas are provided. Following yoga, we took part in a Spirit, Mind and Body session with Life Coach Meredith Haberfeld. This was not only a great way to get motivated to improve areas of life that need it the most but also a great tool to get know everyone in your group. Deep insight and advice were offered at the same rate as well as some good, old-fashioned conversation coated with some comic relief.

From Ghost Horse Vineyards, a NapaValley winery dedicated to the production of ultra-premium wines and the education of the wine consumer, we joined winemaker Todd Anderson for events throughout the four-day experience. We tried an array of excellent wine and found that wine tastes even better when you know a little of its history, kind of like visiting a destination the day after you see a documentary on it. It was followed by a degustation menu with the property's chef, Stephane Brallet.

The package also includes roundtrip airport transfer via town car, a dinner at Dune with a chef's menu developed by Jean Georges Vongerichten plus paired wine, and savings available at One&Only Spa and Ocean Club Golf Course throughout your stay.

Rooms

We stayed in room #1078, a Luxury Beachfront Room. The package costs $3,638 when staying in this room. It was located a bit of a walk from the reception area, but butlers are always willing to give you a lift when you need one. We decided to walk along the property any chance we got because the greenery, along with the snails, tiny lizards, and beautiful birds made for an eventful, scenic stroll. The room was gorgeous and the outdoor patios provide a front-and-center view of the ocean

Spa

Although we didn't have any treatments, we learned that the One&Only Massage, the Balinese Massage and the Elemis Deep Tissue Muscle Massage were the menu's highlights. With the package, guests get 15 percent off of treatments and a free spa sampler.
