Roberts Hawaii Announces a New Transportation Service

Roberts Hawaii has launched a new transportation service for customers traveling between Honolulu International Airport and their hotels in Waikiki: the Roberts Hawaii Express Shuttle.

Roy Cordeiro, vice president of sales and marketing strategy for Roberts Hawaii, said, “Currently, visitors arriving at the airport can choose to rent a car, take a taxi or use a ground shuttle service. With roundtrip prices starting from about $30 per person, we felt there was a need to offer a better value.”

Customers who take the Roberts Hawaii Express Shuttle pay $20 per person for a roundtrip, or $12 per person for a one-way ride. They are met in person at their arrival gate by a Roberts Hawaii representative and then escorted to baggage claim and assisted with their luggage, before being taken to their vehicle. The service also employs minibuses rather than motor coaches, makes no more than five hotel stops each way, and takes guests to their hotel entrance.

Percy Higashi, president of Roberts Hawaii, said, “In developing the Roberts Hawaii Express Shuttle, we paid close attention to what customers want. They want more value. They prefer the smaller vehicles. They like being met at the gate and shown the way to baggage claim. And, they want fewer stops along the way so they can get to and from the airport faster. We worked to build all of those things into our new service.”

Advance reservations are required at least 24 hours prior for the shuttle service. This new shuttle service is also commissionable for travel agents.

Roberts Hawaii has a fleet of approximately 900 vehicles and a full line of tours, entertainment options, and ground transportation services on four islands: Hawaii, Kauai, Maui and Oahu. It’s the state’s largest tour and transportation company.
