San Juan Hotel Supports Increase in Airline Seats

The Comfort Inn San Juan, franchised by Choice Hotels International, applauded the St. Croix-based Seaborne Airlines for increasing seat capacity throughout the northeastern Caribbean.

Seaborne plans to introduce new 34-seat Saab turboprop aircraft to increase its Caribbean capacity to and from Puerto Rico, an important hub for countries in the northeastern region.

Hotel proprietor Nash Mawani asserted ease of travel throughout the Caribbean market is important not only for his hotel, but also for Puerto Rican business and medical institutions.

"We salute every effort to expand intra-regional travel, and Seaborne must be commended for its role in keeping Caribbean cities connected with convenient air services," said Mawani, whose company is committed to working closer with regional carriers and travelers alike.

The Comfort Inn hotel is located in the Condado district of San Juan, one block from the Atlantic Ocean, and close to the Port of San Juan in Old San Juan, the historic Old San Juan and its cobblestone streets, the El Morro fortress (Castillo de San Felipe del Morro) and hundreds of buildings dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
