Sheraton Cable Beach Resort Expects Success in the BahamasSeptember 17, 2007 By: Joe Pike Travel Agent
Newest Nassau property offers getaways ideal for families and couples
The Sheraton Cable Beach Resort, which opened its doors in June, is the newest hotel in Nassau and offers a pretty complete resort experience. The resort is set on seven acres of waterscape, including three freshwater pools with waterfalls, a swim-up bar and oversized whirlpools.
Book this property for families and couples, especially honeymooners or couples looking to get married. Here's more on what we expect to be a major player in the Bahamas.
Resort Amenities and Services
In addition to the hotel's six restaurants and lounges,
guests can also enjoy a set of amenities and activities that are shared with
those of the neighboring Wyndham Nassau
Resort , including the 35,000-square-foot Crystal Palace Casino, a golf
course and a variety of water sports activities.
The concierge staff is available at the hotel to assist
guests with any requests or questions they may have during their stays. Private
cars are available.
For your upscale clientele, Million Air, an airport for
private jets, is located near the hotel.
The resort also has its own children's program, called Kids
Club, which is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. The Kids Club is offered
on a seasonal basis. Some of the activities here include Bahamian arts and
crafts, beach games, playground fun, bowling, video games and field trips to
the Straw Market.
The Sheraton Cable Beach Resort is a popular location for
weddings, and the resort hosts hundreds of wedding each year. If you have
clients planning on getting married there, call Sharri Clarke, wedding sales
manager, at 242-327-6000, ext. 860312.

The Ocean Breeze Suites are among the best rooms to book at
the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort. They offer a large private wraparound terrace

These suites also feature a bedroom with a separate
adjoining parlor for entertaining, and include a wet bar area and an additional
bathroom. They can also be converted into a one-, two-, or three-bedroom suites
via adjoining rooms.
The Presidential Suites, however, are the most requested
premium accommodations. Situated on the seventh floor, they come with the same
amenities as the Ocean Breeze suites and are sold as two-bedroom suites;
however, an additional room may be added to form a three-bedroom suite. This
suite can be booked through the GDS.

Other rooms with great views include the Ocean View Rooms
and the Executive Suites, which have direct views of the ocean. The sun
actually sets on the opposite side of the island, so none of rooms face sunset.
However, the rooms offer incredible views of the sunrise.
Generally most the rooms (Resort View, Deluxe View, Ocean
View and Luxury View) are the same size, about 330 square feet. The suite
selections (Executive Suite, Ocean Breeze and Presidential) begin at 550 square
feet, while some are as large as 1,525 square feet.
All the rooms in the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort are
equipped with 32-inch flat-screen LCD TVs, high-speed wireless Internet
connection, European-styled toilets and modern bathroom facilities, in-room
safes, large private terraces or patios, individually controlled
air-conditioning systems, Starbucks coffee and coffee makers.
All rooms also feature the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper
Bed, a multi-layered creation with down pillows, cotton sheets and a signature
blanket and duvet. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with sliding glass
doors, and are decorated with all new modern furniture in pleasing colors.
Mid-December through April is the property's busiest season,
