Starwood Cutting Trans Fats

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is joining a growing list of hospitality companies by shelving trans fats. The multibranded hotel operator says it will eliminate all artificial trans fats from foods at more than 400 hotels in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean by the end of the year. Paul Smith, Starwood's vice president of food and beverage operations called the link between trans fats and heart disease "well documented."
