As part of the tourism industry's national Vote Travel bus tour, the U.S. Travel Association and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and the Las Vegas Camber of Commerce held the first rally.
U.S. Travel President & CEO Roger Dow said, "The $1.9 trillion U.S. Travel industry supports 14.4 million jobs, and we're taking that message on the road to states and communities across the nation."
The Vote Travel bus is raising awareness and gathering support for the U.S. travel and tourism industry for the upcoming 2012 elections.
In Southern Nevada, the travel industry alone supports more than 370,000 jobs and infuses the local economy each year with more than $40 billion.
