Western England at Risk of Floods

Britain's Environmental Agency on Monday cautioned that water levels of the Thames and Severn rivers could rise to a "critical level," issuing nine severe flood warnings across the country. CNN reported that the worst affected areas are the counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire, which accumulated more than five inches of rain in less than 24 hours. Electricity and water have been cut off in some areas and hundreds of people in the worst affected areas have been evacuated, CNN elaborated.
