* Expandables and traveling ads must work with iFrames.

* Expandables and traveling ads must be submitted to admanager@questex.com 1-2 weeks prior to IO commitment for testing purposes. When sending the email, it is very important that you specify the Advertiser Name, the intended site for activation, and that these materials are expandables to be used for testing before signing contract.

If there is an 'iFrame-buster' file that must be loaded on our web server, please provide with the testing materials.

Notes on 100x100 --> 940x940 "Peelback" or "Page Peel":
These are common expandable ads that look like a "dog-eared" page in the upper right corner of the browser window, which when clicked or hovered will peel back to reveal the ad. Specifications: Flash 5 + HTML. 100x100 image size, max file size 15k (Flash) / 3k (HTML. 940x940 max file size 100k (without video) / 2.2 mb (with video). Preferred vendor: PointRoll. Expand action must equal retract action (mouse over / mouse off, or click open / click close). Video = true streaming, progressive download available on click only; 30 seconds max. Audio on click OR mouse-over; if mouse-over: must be 1 sec delay, and must stop when banner moused off.

IAB Recommended Sizes: Unit and file sizes offered are recommended by the Interactive Advertising Bureau standard, with the exception of the 120x120, 160x160.

Acceptable Formats:
Ads on websites: We accept JPG, GIF, PNG, Flash (SWF), most 3rd party tags, streaming video, Enliven, Eyeblaster, Pointroll, and image maps. Expandable or "traveling" rich media (which bursts outside of the unit's size dimensions) have special requirements.

Ads in e-newsletters: We accept JPG, GIF, PNG, and non-HTML 3rd Party Tags. (Third Party tags for e-newsletter ads cannot be sent to us as HTML files such as <a> tags or iFrames. They must come as two links: one for viewing the ad, and one for clicking on the ad.) We cannot run rich media (Flash, etc) ads in e-newsletters, only on sites.

Third Party Tags: Third Party tags are discouraged unless necessary, as they cause impression latency.

Third Party tags for e-newsletter ads cannot be sent to us as html files (such as IFrames). They must come as two links: one for viewing the ad, one for clicking on the ad. Third Party tags for site ads can come to us in either form.

Looping: No looping maximum as long as it is within file size.

Remember: smaller file size = faster load = greater potential for impressions and clicks.

Flash:

* We accept SWF files up to Flash v.8.
* Max file size is 100k (without video) or 2.2 mb (with video).
* We cannot host streaming video files, but we can run streaming video SWF files if they point to a server where the streaming video file is located.
* Frame rate: 12 FPS recommended
* Expandable or "traveling" ads may not work in our iFrames. These must be tested 1-2 weeks before agreement.

In order for us to count clicks on your SWF file, you cannot embed your click URL in the file. You must create an invisible button layer with a clickTag script.
