Easter Island Lodge to Open in December

Posada de Mike Rapu, the new lodge for Explora en Rapa Nui, on Easter Island's southern edge, is set for completion by the end of December 2007. The lodge will have 30 guest rooms, including four suites; each will look out onto the Pacific. The lodge will also have a restaurant, and swimming pool. Rates at Posada de Mike Rapu for a three-night stay start at $1,794 per person double for a standard room and $2,334 per person double for a suite. Included in this rate are airport transfers, accommodations, all meals and bar and daily explorations with bilingual guides. Agents can currently book reservations. Prior to the lodge's completion, guests of Explora en Rapa Nui can stay at Casa Rapa Nui, which will remain fully operational until the opening of Posada de Mike Rapu.
