Ritz-Carlton Hotels Adds Puerto Rico and St Thomas to Ambassadors of the Environment Program

SnorkelingThe Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. and Jean-Michel Cousteau introduce two new Caribbean destinations to their environmental program, Ambassadors of the Environment. Fueled by the success and popularity of the environmental program's first collaboration with The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, the two new programs will be launched in St. Thomas and Puerto Rico at the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, and the newly launched first Reserve in the Americas, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.

The Ambassadors of the Environment program is tailored to each destinations landscape and culture, and places emphasis on education, awareness, and respect for environmental sustainability. Guided by expertly-trained naturalists, the program provides a selection of recreational activities for children, adults and families of all ages. Activities include snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and underwater photography. Guests can choose from a variety of adventure opportunities such as discovering the resident population of living dinosaurs in St. Thomas, diving into the coral reefs that protect the beaches of Puerto Rico and exploring the critical role of mangrove lagoons while night snorkeling with a flashlight in Grand Cayman.
