El Salvador Ecotourism Conference Scheduled

The International Ecotourism Society (TIES), an association dedicated to socially, ecologically and economically responsible travel, is partnering with FUNDEMAS, the Business Foundation for Social Action, to help strengthen ecotourism and sustainable tourism in El Salvador. One of the first steps in TIES and FUNDEMAS' initiative is the Ecotourism and Sustainable Development in El Salvador Workshop, to be held in February. Participants will include industry and government leaders, international tourism professionals, community representatives and others from across the country; national and international experts will speak on key policy, development and business issues. Visit TIES' web site at www.ecotourism.org, or FUNDEMAS' web site at www.fundemas.org. Or contact TIES' Training and Education Department at 202-347-9203, ext. 423 or [email protected]. (DB)
