Virgin Atlantic Opens New Lounge at Gatwick

Virgin Atlantic Airways has unveiled a new Clubhouse at Gatwick Airport with a Cowshed Spa for Upper Class and Flying Club Gold Card passengers. The new Clubhouse, which spreads out over 8,500 square feet and has seating for 130 passengers, has re-opened after a complete refurbishment.

Passengers enter the Clubhouse through a new, private corridor leading directly to a reception and concierge area. Adjacent to the new entrance are shoeshine, coat and baggage areas where passengers can leave their bags and buggies. There are also facilities to charge mobile phones, iPods and Blackberries in this area, with a concierge team on hand.

The Restaurant & Lounge: Passengers can dine in the waiter-serviced restaurant, or relax in the main lounge in the luxurious upholstery of the new banquette seating. They can also enjoy a drink at the oak- and granite-clad bar.

The Cowshed Spa and Internal Rock Garden offers a variety of treatments to passengers, whether it's a gentle massage, a luxurious manicure or pedicure, all using Cowshed's acclaimed 100 percent natural products, or more traditional showering facilities.

The Family Lounge lets toddlers play in a dedicated Playground with a selection of toys and games and a TV with dedicated children's channels.
