Air France Strike Ends

air franceAn Air France strike that has disrupted flights across Europe came to an end late Sunday.

Air France operated 45 percent of its scheduled flights Sunday, September 28. Flights already cancelled for Monday, September 29, will remain cancelled. The situation will gradually return to normal over 2 to 3 days due to operational and regulatory constraints, the airline said.

Mandatory checks are required on aircraft which have not flown for several days due to the strike. In addition, Air France will need time to rest and reposition aircraft and crew.

The strike was due to negotiations over Air France's new cost-cutting plan.
