Continental, Delta Expand Europe Vacation Options

July 31, 2009 By: Jena Tesse Fox

Continental Airlines Vacations has added Hamburg and Milan to their European product line, in addition to expanding their product offerings in Berlin, Frankfurt and Rome. (Look for a larger hotel selection in these cities.)

In Hamburg, visitors can search the database in the BallinStadt Museum for their ancestors. The Church of St. Michael is Hamburg's best-known architectural landmark. Both the North and Baltic Seas are only about an hour’s drive away and offer a mix of quaint fishing villages and posh beach towns.

Milan is home to the fourth largest cathedral in the world. Visitors can see Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper and then check out some of the fashion giants like Gucci, Versace, Armani and Prada, as well as smaller, up-and-coming designers.

Delta Vacations, meanwhile, is offering vacations to new destinations across Europe, including Stuttgart, Hamburg, Lyon and Milan.

Stuttgart has many castles and palaces, and is the gateway to the Black Forest, home of the famous Cuckoo clock. Also referred to as the “cradle of the automobile,” Stuttgart is the home to Porsche and Mercedes Benz, each with its own museum.

Lyon features a number of historical and architectural landmarks. The Saint-Jean and the Croix-Rousse areas, which are noted for their narrow passageways, are designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
