High-tech Sofitel to Open at Heathrow

The Sofitel London Heathrow in London is set to open this June.

Directly connected to Terminal 5 via a link bridge, the 605-bedroom hotel has five towering steel-and-glass atriums and 41 high-tech meeting, event and boardroom spaces, ranging in size up to a maximum capacity of 1,700 or 1,300 for banquets, award ceremonies and product launches. Three boardrooms will have AMX control systems, allowing delegates full control of AV, lighting and climate control at the touch of a button. The hotel's 117 tiered-seat theater will have high-tech cinema projection and sound equipment, as well as an IML Communicator keypad system that allows for instant electronic voting, live text messaging and built-in microphones for question-and-answer sessions.
