The property, which labels itself as four-star, is located a few minutes away from Central Station and the famous Königsallée shopping street. Last week we noted that Capella Hotels and Resorts will debut its new Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf on May 19. The hotel, which originally opened in 1812, has undergone several incarnations (including reconstruction following its demolition in World War II). Its owners, Pearl of Kuwait Real Estate, began construction in 2006 on an entirely new Breidenbacher Hof on the hotel’s original site, which is located on the famous Königsallée.

The new nine-story building will have 95 guest rooms, including 16 suites, a restaurant, a boutique spa with pool and fitness center, such high-end retailers as Escada and Hugo Boss, and 18 serviced residential apartments.
