ASTA And BTC Plan Webinar on IATA Resolution 787

airplaneThe American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) and Business Travel Coalition (BTC) will hold a free Webinar on April 26, 2013, to explore the International Air Transport Association'’s (IATA) Resolution 787 and the included New Distribution Capability (NDC).

Paul Ruden, Esquire, Senior Vice President, Legal & Industry Affairs, ASTA and Kevin Mitchell, Chairman, BTC, will lead the Webinar.

ASTA and BTC note that IATA has filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for approval of its Resolution 787, which includes a new worldwide business model for the pricing and sale of airline tickets that could structurally change the industry in unalterable ways impacting all supply-chain participants, including the end customer.

DOT, they note, has set a deadline of May 1, 2013, to receive industry and airline customer comments. Whether in support of or in opposition to Resolution 787, travel industry participants from around the world should take advantage of the opportunity to submit comments and influence the outcome of DOT'’s review.

During the Webinar BTC and ASTA will share their insights on Resolution 787 based upon their review and analysis of IATA documents and presentations as well as direct meetings and correspondence with IATA.

Online presentation and Q&A - Friday, April 26, 2013 - 12:00pm until 1:15pm (EDT).
