“This is rolling out slowly to a small group of people who currently have Graph Search and we will continue to improve this experience by listening to feedback,” said a statement posted in Facebook’s newsroom

Previously, Graph Search had only been able to search based on people, places, photos and interests, CNET reports. Adding posts and status updates makes a massive amount of data newly searchable on the social network.

Because all of users’ old posts will now be searchable based on their privacy settings, now may be a good time for users to double-check those privacy settings to ensure their social media profile is well-presented. Information Week has published a list of five quick steps to double-check privacy settings, which includes going over old status updates, comments, the “About” section of your profile, photos and places.
