Collette Vacations Launches Family Itineraries

Collette Vacations announced Wednesday the launch of its new brand, Collette Family Vacations.

Collette Family Vacations, which launched this week with its own logo, brochure and micro-site, is an addition to the company's growing list of tours. Collette based its decision to enter the family travel vertical on market trends that indicated an increased focus on family.

The Collette Family Vacations include nine itineraries the company said will "bring travelers of all ages together." The vacations include a zip-line canopy tour in Costa Rica; a wildlife encounter trip in the Galapagos, a ride on the London Eye and a rafting voyage in the Canadian Rockies.

“The added bonus of travel is that it engages your family with other cultures," said Daniel Sullivan, Jr., Collette Vacations' president and CEO. "On each family trip, we are not only learning about the world, we are also growing closer.”

The trips come with the convenience of an escorted tour but are geared toward parents or grandparents who are toting children. Child rates are up to 50 percent off normal adult rates.

The company now offers its mainstream Collette tours, its small-group Explorations tours and its educational Smithsonian Journeys Travel Adventures tours.
