Continental Goes After Heathrow

November 16, 2007 By: Travel Agent Central Contributor Travel Agent

With "open skies" going into effect in March, Continental Airlines has applied to begin twice-daily nonstop flights to London Heathrow from its hubs at Newark and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The flights, subject to government and slot approval, will not interfere with the carrier's existing twice-daily nonstop service between London Gatwick and Newark, daily service from Houston and seasonal daily service from Cleveland. If approved, flights will operate on 283-seat Boeing 777-200 aircraft, containing 48 business-class seats and 235 coach seats. Visit (JM)
