Delta to Launch Daily, Nonstop Service to Montrose/Telluride for Winter

Delta Air Lines will launch daily nonstop flights between Atlanta and Montrose/Telluride in Colorado from December 18, 2010 through April 3, 2011. The new route is more than welcome news to Telluride Ski Resort, which received a record 454,257 skier visits in the 2009-10 winter season— an increase of 8.3 percent compared to 2008-09 season, according to the Grand Junction Sentinel. The carrier currently operates weekly service between the destinations with Saturday-only flights.

Flights will depart Atlanta at 9:35 a.m. and arrive in Montrose/Telluride at 11:33 a.m. Return service leaves Colorado at 12:15 p.m. and lands in Georgia at 5:30 p.m.

The service will be take place on a CRJ900 76 seat regional jet with 64 seats in Coach and 12 seats in First Class) as well as a 142-seat MD90 aircraft.
