Northwest and Midwest Enter Code Share Agreement

The partnership, which goes into effect in November, largely expands both carriers' networks by adding 250 city pairs and more than 1,000 new flight options. Beginning November 3, flights utilizing the code share agreement can be booked for travel on or after November 17. Benefits of partnership include flying a multi-segment flight on a single ticket and the ability to earn mileage credits in each carrier's frequent flyer program.

The flights will be phased in by market, with initial destinations including Midwest Airlines flights between Milwaukee, Kansas City, MO and Omaha, NE to West Coast cities, where passengers can connect to Northwest Airlines flights to several points in Hawaii, the carriers said in a joint statement.
