Special Exhibit at Museum Frieder Burda

The major summer exhibition at the Museum Frieder Burda, running through November 4, displays works of the two French artists Fernand Leger (1881 - 1955) and Henri Laurens (1885 - 1954) whose works of art had a decisive influence in the first half of the 20th century. The presentation includes some 90 pieces, including many of them rarely shown on loan from the Pompidou Centre in Paris. The Frieder Burda exhibition combines Fernand Leger and Henri Laurens for the first time in a "Tete-a-Tete" of classical modernism. Simultaneously, there will be an exhibit by the French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel in the gallery of the museum.

Baden-Baden Christmas Market
November 26 - December 30, 2012
The "Christkindel Market” is located in front of the Kurhaus with festively decorated stalls running parallel to the exclusive colonnade boutiques. It is one of the region's largest Christmas markets, with 100 stalls selling arts and crafts, Christmas decorations and local delicacies. There is also a daily live program on the open-air stage with star performers and choirs. Kids can watch a live nativity scene with donkeys and lambs, a children's "bake-it-yourself” bakery and a merry-go-round.
