Virtuoso's CEO Announces Berlin as Location for 2014 Symposium

Cathedral of BerlinVirtuoso’s CEO, Matthew Upchurch has made the announcement that next year’s 2014 Virtuoso Symposium will take place in Berlin, Germany, from April 26 through April 30, 2014. The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in collaboration with visitBerlin submitted the winning bid to host next year’s Symposium for the leading U.S. luxury travel agency network. It is the first time that the Virtuoso Symposium will be held in Germany, which has grown into Europe’s third most popular tourism destination.

The Symposium, which features discussions on travel trends, challenges, opportunities and the future of travel in general, brings together the most influential decision makers of the luxury travel industry. Virtuoso’s top leaders and senior executives from Virtuoso Member Agencies from countries including the US, Canada, Brazil and Australia, frequent the annual event, as well as Preferred Travel Suppliers. Already, around 400 participants are expected to attend the 2014 Virtuoso Symposium next spring.

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience Germany and Berlin through a variety of pre- and post-convention tours, and will be staying at the following partner hotels: Hotel Adlon Kempinski, The Ritz-Carlton, Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome and Regent Berlin. They can expect an exclusive program, designed in cooperation with Culture Trip, Germany´s luxury travel planner.
