Indura Beach & Golf Resort Joins Curio Collection by Hilton

Indura Beach & Golf Resort has joined Curio – A Collection by Hilton, marking Curio’s first property in Central America.

Located on 26 miles of Tela Bay on the north coast of Honduras, the 60-suite property offers guests Jeanette Kawas National Park as its surroundings. Accommodations are spread among 15 scattered villas, interconnected by footpaths that also lead to the beach. Each guest room has been designed to reflect Honduran architecture and tropical style, with accents of sophisticated, modern elegance. Room highlights include bamboo floors, pine walls, decorative accents of Guanacaste wood and floor to ceiling windows, which slide open to wrap around terraces with ocean and garden views.

On site, the property has four distinct dining options. Bazul Bay is the resort’s signature restaurant, known for blending familiar favorites with locally inspired and sourced specialties, open all day. Duna Beach Lounge offers a flavorful, informal menu featuring fresh fruit popsicles, snacks and a variety of lighter fare.  Bahari Bar Lounge is available for morning coffee or evening cocktails and serves a selection of tapas, in addition to providing local musicians and live music on select evenings. Before (or after) a round of golf, many stop at Sagadi Golf Lounge, open daily for breakfast and on-the-go lunches. The lounge serves as a stopping point for refreshments and meals pre, post or on the go at the golf course.

The resort has the first championship 18-hole golf course in Honduras. Designed by golfer Gary Player and overseen by Troon Golf, the course sits on 1,800 acres within Indura Beach & Golf Resort. Within and around the course are beaches, lagoons and native wetland vegetation. For those who don’t golf, nearby attractions include kayaking, windsurfing, horseback riding, snorkeling and bird watching.

The focal point of the resort is a temperature controlled pool, designed with three swim areas. The resort also has a 1,500 square foot fitness center with state of the art equipment and fitness classes, like beach yoga, aerobics and Zumba. The hotel also has the Maina Spa, which was developed to reflect the Honduran culture both in design and treatments offered. Private spa cabins offer aromatherapy, phototherapy and thalassotherapy traditions, influenced by Latin American and European healing philosophies.

Indura Beach & Golf Resort is part of a larger destination resort, set to eventually include two or three hotels and approximately 800 rental units. The resort strives to incorporate the culture of the Garifuna people – descendants of Caribe, Arawak and West African people – into its surroundings by using local Honduran products and sustainable materials during construction.

Presently, the resort offers 3,200 square feet of flexible meeting space, suitable for up to 400 guests.
