The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) commended Congress for approving the No-Hassle Flying Act. The bill gives the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) the authority to waive baggage re-screening requirements when flyers enter the United States from one of the 14 pre-clearance international airports.
In a statement, Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO commented: “GBTA commends Congress for its bipartisan support of legislation to facilitate business travel to the United States. A special thanks to the bill’s sponsors who led this effort, Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Representative Joe Walsh (R-IL). Now business travelers will be able to check bags through to their final destination airports, removing one hurdle from the road warrior’s busy schedule."
