Travel Insured International has introduced a newer, simpler and more user-friendly approach to buying insurance plans for groups of 10 or more travelers on the same itinerary. The new Group Insurance Program from Travel Insured now offers group travel planners the choice of selecting their group's best coverage from either a Deluxe or Lite Plan.
Motorcoach, Post-Departure and Basic plans are now brought together under the Lite plan. Group travel planners can sell Travel Insured Group plans as either voluntary for each group member, or inclusive for all members. One set of rates applies for either voluntary or inclusive coverage. A Cancel for Any Reason upgrade is available individually to members for additional premium. Either the Deluxe or Lite plan can be purchased to cover Family groups of 10 or more people traveling together.
Members of the group are eligible for a waiver covering Pre-Existing Medical Conditions for themselves and their family members provided they purchase their plan prior to making their final trip payment. Additionally, group members may individually opt to purchase, or the whole group may purchase, the Cancel for Any Reason upgrade, provided they buy the plan with the option within 14 days of their initial trip deposit. The option allows individuals to Cancel for Any Reason two or more days prior to scheduled departure for up to a 75 percent cash reimbursement of their non-refundable trip costs.
