GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. (AP) — Another break in the pipeline in Grand Canyon National Park means several areas below the North Rim will temporarily be without drinking water pending repairs.

Park officials said Tuesday that repairs should be completed by the end of the week if the work goes smoothly.

The break is north of Phantom Ranch on the North Kaibab Trail in an area known as "The Box."

Workers fixed another break in the pipeline in the same area earlier this month.

Areas temporarily without drinking water include Roaring Springs, Cottonwood Campground and Manzanita Rest Area.

Phantom Ranch will use water from storage tanks.

Park officials say hikers must be prepared to carry or treat all drinking water.
