Five Last-Minute Travel Ideas for the Fourth of July

Boston Fireworks

The Fourth of July weekend is coming right up, and if your clients still haven’t made plans to celebrate the holiday, we’ve rounded up a list of noteable fireworks displays and travel ideas they may want to consider.

Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, Boston, Massachusetts

One of the country’s most well-known celebrations on July 4 is the annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. Every year visitors from all over the United States gather at the Hatch Shell on Boston’s Charles River Esplanade to listen to a selection of patriotic music performed by the Boston Pops Orchestra under the direction of Keith Lockhart. This year, the line-up will also include performances by Broadway performer Michael Cavanaugh; American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle; Boston-based quartet, the Sons of Serendip; the Boston Crusaders drum and bugle corps; gospel singer and The Voice contestant Michelle Brooks-Thompson, and the USO Show Troupe. The event end with a bang, literally, as a fireworks display ends the night accompanied by composer John Phillip Sousa’s famous march, “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular is a free event, and performances begin at 8 pm. For more information visit www.bso.org
