CCRA Reports 48 Percent Gain in Hotel Bookings

CCRA Travel Solutions is reporting a 48 percent increase in hotel room nights booked through the CCRATravel.com agent portal through August 2010. During the same period, GDS hotel reservations went up just over 26 percent, according to the August 2010 issue of The Pegasus View, CCRA notes.

CCRA attributes the increase in portal hotel bookings to the introduction of two new, travel agent programs that were made available to registered agents at the end of 2009: CCRA Cash Rewards and the 15 percent Commission/Express enhanced rate program.

“CCRA Travel Solutions is delighted to report that travel agent hotel bookings are on the rise,” said Peter Pincus, president of CCRA’s global network division, “The steady increase in hotel room nights booked through our portal over the past year coupled with the rise of GDS hotel reservations overall, suggests that more consumers are now seeking the services of travel professionals for booking their hotel and lodging accommodations.”

Registered agents have already earned over $250,000 dollars in commissions from this new rate program alone, and CCRA said it is now reconciling and issuing commission payments on a weekly basis so travel agent partners can earn more money, faster.

CCRA also reports that over 9,000 travel agents are currently enrolled in their CCRACa$hRewards incentive program, which pays agents an additional dollar for every consumed hotel room night booked through CCRAtravel.com.

CCRA’s Commission/Express and Cash Rewards Program are available to all certified travel agents (who have valid travel ID’s, such as TRUE, IATA, CLIA or TIDS) who register on CCRATravel.com. Registering for CCRA’s travel agent portal is free – and provides real-time discounted rates and booking options for tens of thousands of hotels worldwide.
