The company says the new name signifies its expanding capabilities to provide personalized vacation planning to travelers around the world with more vacation options and travel resources. Avoya has been in business for 40 years and has had a 20-year relationship with American Express Travel as a representative agency.
"Avoya Travel will bring a multitude of new experiences over the next few years to our customers, our network of independent agency owners and our supplier partners," said Brad Anderson, co-president of Avoya Travel.
A family-owned business, Avoya Travel will serve as the company’s name worldwide while America’s Vacation Center will continue to be part of its U.S. brand, Anderson said. The company’s network of independently owned and operated travel agencies -(Personal Vacation Planners) – estimated at several hundred will continue their commitment to client service.
