America’s Vacation Center Wins AMEX Award

American Express Travel named America’s Vacation Center Travel Agency of the Year for 2009 during its annual American Express U.S. Representative Network Conference in Philadelphia on October 4 - 6.

Every year the honor is given to the travel agency that best represents the industry in customer advocacy, business development and innovation, as well as how its contributions to the American Express Representative Network have advanced the status of the network in the industry.

Van Anderson, co-president of America’s Vacation Center, accepted the award from Ellen Bettridge, vice president of the American Express U.S. Retail Travel Network, during a special presentation at the conference.

“America’s Vacation Center continues to impress us with its forward thinking, ground-breaking technology and marketing initiatives, and unique shared-success model,” said Bettridge.
