Carlson to Keynote CruiseOne/Cruises Inc. ConferenceJune 28, 2010 By: George Dooley
Human behavior expert, author and entrepreneur Colette Carlson has been tapped to deliver the keynote address to several hundred attendees at the 2010 CruiseOne & Cruises Inc. National Conference. This year’s conference will take place aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship, Epic, departing Miami on October 16. Carlson is expected to incorporate the event’s “Engage” theme into her address as well as successful sales strategies.
Carlson broke free from the safety net of a monthly paycheck as a top-notch administrative assistant and stepped out into the realm of a commission-only sales livelihood, where she honed her skills working for sales legend Tom Hopkins. She quickly ascended the ranks, becoming his number one sales producer. Carlson then joined sales guru Brian Tracy’s international organization and became a national sales trainer for US West. In addition to her savvy sales abilities, Carlson also went to earn a master's degree in human behavior.
Carlson has shared her practical applications and sense of humor in many speaking engagements, including opening for Suze Orman, and working in-house at Fortune 100 companies like Microsoft, Boeing, PepsiCo and Cisco. She was recently featured in Success Magazine and has a monthly column, "Tactfully Speaking” in the National Institute of Business Management’s publication, in addition to her professional advice column, "Ask Colette.”
The 2010 CruiseOne & Cruises Inc. National Conference aboard Epic will include visits to Costa Maya, Roatan and Cozumel, as well as a rich program of workshops and panel discussions during at-sea days.
