Industry veteran Jackie Johnson, has joined TRAVELSAVERS as executive vice president of CruiseXpress. Johnson will be responsible for overseeing the group’s new and improved CruiseXpress online booking engine.
“We’re so pleased to have a travel professional of Jackie’s caliber and experience come onboard,” said Rick Mazza, president and CEO of TRAVELSAVERS. “She brings a thorough understanding of the inner workings of the cruise sector and has already been a great asset to our organization.”
Johnson joins TRAVELSAVERS with more than 35 years of experience in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. She was Norwegian Cruise Line’s vice president of sales and vice president of travel industry affairs, where she directed the sales department and maintained relationships with travel industry associations.
Johnson also has extensive experience on the tour side of the industry having worked with Trafalgar Tours, GrandLuxe Rail Journeys, Thomas Cook and Club Mediterranee. In addition, Johnson has served on advisory boards; participated on numerous industry panels; and was named Cruise Executive of the Year for the National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA). She was recognized for five years among The Most Powerful Women In Travel, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Cruise Only Agents.
With Johnson at the helm, TRAVELSAVERS will be unveiling its enhanced CruiseXpress online booking engine in the second quarter of this year.
