At its recent annual member conference, CoNexion 2010, held Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Miami, Fla., Nexion President Jackie Friedman recognized 31 travel professionals and 12 supplier partners for outstanding contributions in 2010.
“Its clear that our agents value the tools and resources that our preferred suppliers provide to help them accelerate their success," said Friedman. “The suppliers were honored when they received this recognition as voted on by our agents. We are proud of the tremendous partnership that exists between our suppliers, our agents and Nexion."
The Circle of Excellence winners each year are recognized for their high leisure sales. This year, 17 of Nexion’s agents reached that goal. They are: Karen Bushell, Kim Caudill, Gary Hardin, George Hearn, Becky Jones, Samantha Khalil, Irina Kogut, Steve Lincoln, Tony Martinez, Carolyn McDaniel, Jacque McMillan, Yana Shleyner, Linda Smith, Yuri Smolyanski, Jayne Snowden, Janice Standal and Elgine Vaughn.
Additionally, Nexion agents with high sales in air travel are rewarded the exclusive MillionAir award. The 2010 agents in this category were: Lisa Burton, Sandra Chertoff and Diane Earman, Rita Hiltner, Kerri Lippon, Carolyn McDaniel, Cindy Orlinick, Catherine Romanov, Irene Schwartz, Karen Seifer and David Taie.
Nexion also presented the Nexion Ambassador Award to three members and one supplier partner who exemplified outstanding citizenship by helping other agents, Nexion staff, as well as their own businesses through outlets such as Nexion Town, the Strategic Sales Coach program and Nexion PowerUP! The 2010 Nexion Ambassador Awards were given to: Ron Adcock, Ester Herz, Brenda Vavricek and Theresa Scalzitti (of Royal Caribbean)
In addition to receiving recognition at the conference and within Nexion, the Circle of Excellence, MillionAir and Ambassador recipients receive crystal awards and are invited to attend an executive, all-expenses-paid retreat, courtesy of Funjet Vacations, to Marival Residence and World Spa in Mexico this December.
Recognizing that their success and the success of the travel industry is built upon great partner relationships, Nexion sent out a survey to its membership earlier this summer asking them to vote for their favorite travel supplier in various categories. The awards were announced during CoNexion 2010.
