VAX VacationAccess reported its first-ever virtual vacation expo has secured travel suppliers for nearly half of its available "booths." "National Plan a Vacation Week: A Travel Agent-Powered Extravaganza" will take place March 15 through March 21, 2011. The event is free to travel agents, and participating agents could gain sales leads.
National Plan a Vacation Week, a registered national event, is a virtual expo that brings supplier offers and media, as well as consumer marketing tools to travel agents. The program then brings travel agents sales leads through a consumer website that promotes the value of travel agents and encourages consumers to "shop" and engage with participating travel agents through their micro-websites.
Travel suppliers fill "booths" in the following six categories: Tropical Adventures, Fun for Families, Occasions for Amazement, Viva Mexico, Pacific Paradises and American Discoveries.
Participating travel suppliers gain the opportunity to expose VAX VacationAccess’ community of over 100,000 travel agents to their products through photos, videos and Plan a Vacation Week offers, according to VAX. The photos and videos are delivered to consumers via travel agent micro-sites and marketing, and the offers are made available to travel agents through VAX’s Vacation Week “Agent Resource Center.” Travel agents consult with potential customers and deliver the offers exclusively through VAX.
