Travel Bound Expands Hotel Portfolio, Extends Rewards Program

Travel Bound has grown its portfolio of North American hotels by 60% in the past few months, according to the company.

The company now has more than 13,000 hotels in its portfolio. The properties are located in major and secondary locations and include three-, four- and five-star hotels. Most are members of well-known major hotel chains.

Travel Bound also announced the extension of its agent rewards program for North American hotel bookings, meaning agents can now receive rewards for bookings into 2011. The cutoff was previously the end of 2010. More than 7,000 agents have signed up for the rewards program through the company.

"The booking window shrinks at this time of year, as clients decide to take last-minute getaways around the holidays, particularly in the U.S., so it's a good time for agents to earn more rewards on these bookings," said Richie Karaburun, president of GTA North America/Travel Bound.
