Travel Bound Offers Enhances Agent-Only SiteMarch 23, 2010 By: George Dooley
New features have been added to Travel Bound’s website, www.booktravelbound.com, to help agents find, compare and book hotels, tours, transfers and pre-post-cruise products for independent travel clients.
“We’re always trying to find ways to help agents sell faster and smarter, and these changes make searching and booking our products more efficient,” said Nico Zenner, president of Travel Bound.
A new Hotel Quick Search feature reduces the number of steps to find hotels. Hotel search results may be displayed in a minimal list view (permitting more than 50 properties to be shown per page), full details view or a map view. Hotel descriptions also include Trip Advisor reviews.
A new comparison function allows agents to select and compare several hotels, their features and their rates. Finding destinations on the redesigned site now requires fewer steps. All an agent needs to do to book a hotel is to type the first three or four letters of the city name, and all cities starting with those letters will be displayed.
A new sign on shortcut allows agents to save Travel Bound’s index page to their favorites folder or desktop, eliminating the need to sign on in the future. The booking process has been streamlined into fewer steps, and a “show/hide” function allows the booking to be expanded or condensed. The “up-sell” feature has also been improved to make it easier to search for and book additional products, such as sightseeing tours and transfers.
Agents can check out the newly revamped web site and book more than 31,000 hotels, apartments and villas, more than 5,000 transfer options and 11,000 sightseeing tours, attractions and excursions in 120 countries, including the U.S.
Agent commissions start at 10 percent for individual products and 15 percent for pre-set packages.
