The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau is taking advantage of New York's recent legalization of same-sex marriage by launching its newest tourism campaign, "Honeymoon with Pride," which is designed to attract honeymooning same-sex couples.

For the new campaign, the convention and visitors bureau launched a new webpage, www.sunny.org/honeymoonwithpride, to help newly married couples plan their Fort Lauderdale honeymoon.

In conjunction with the new webpage, Greater Fort Laderdale is also hosting a “Honeymoon with Pride” contest that offers one of two prize packages. The first includes five nights at The Royal Palm Resort & Spa, the largest full-service, male-only gay resort in the U.S., located near Fort Lauderdale Beach. While staying at the 62-room property, the winning couple will receive a couples massage and complimentary amenties that include chocolate-dipped strawberries, a bouquet of roses and dinner for two.

The second prize being offered is the Preferred Pride package at The Atlantic Resort & Spa, a luxury boutique hotel that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and Blue Wave beaches. The package includes a three-night stay in an Ocean View Studio featuring a private balcony, a fully equipped kitchenette and an oversize marble bathroom, as well as a couples massage, two complimentary welcome cocktails and a room upgrade (based on availability). To enter to win one of these fabulous honeymoon escapes, clients may visit www.sunny.org/honemoonwithpride.

"Bringing an estimated 1 million gay travelers to Greater Fort Lauderdale last year was a remarkable achievement, and now we grow even prouder celebrating the legalization of gay marriage in New York," said Nicki E. Grossman, president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. "Newlyweds are invited to enjoy the warmth of Greater Fort Lauderdale and encouraged to win a memorable honeymoon,"
