AHLI Expands With First South American Hotels

David Gabri, president and CEO of Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), recently announced the addition of two South American hotels, including the first member property to represent Brazil—the Caesar Park Rio de Janeiro Ipanema, on Ipanema Beach. The Caesar Park Rio de Janeiro Ipanema

The beachfront resort has won local press accolades with its 222 rooms and suites with views of the beach and sea. Also, it has a new convention center, also with ocean views, that can accommodate up to 200 people.

The best room to book is the 1,200-square-foot Imperial Suite, the largest suite in Rio de Janeiro. This suite comes with 24-hour butler service and VIP services. It also has the property's best views of IpanemaBeach. In fact, while the hotel's main clientele is corporate executives, a lot of celebrities have chosen the Caesar Park Rio de Janeiro Ipanema—and particularly this suite—for their stay in Brazil. The daily rack rate for this room is $3,229.

The 18-story hotel has 172 rooms and suites, five meeting rooms, an indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness center, sauna, gardens, solarium and the Agraz Resturant.

These two new properties join such other notable ALHI international members as Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort in Cancun; Fiesta Americana Grand Aqua Cancun; Pan Pacific Vancouver; Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside in British Columbia, Canada; La Samanna on St. Maarten/St. Martin in the French West Indies; the Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in St. Andrews, Scotland; the InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel in Paris; the newly renovated InterContinental London Park Lane in London; and the Grand Hotel Parco Dei Principi in Rome.

Associated Luxury Hotels has been serving the U.S. luxury-level meetings and incentives group market for more than 20 years. It has more than 100 premiere Four-and Five-Star/Diamond quality hotels and resorts worldwide.

For groups of 10 rooms or more, agents can call ALHI's Luxury Group Desk at 866-303-2544. The contact at ALHI is Ed Simon, regional vice president of sales, who can also be reached at [email protected].

For individual leisure bookings, agents should contact the resort directly at (55 21) 2525-2525 or by e-mailing [email protected].

Commissions come directly from each property (rather than from ALHI), so whatever commission agents typically receive for leisure bookings at a certain resort, they will receive the same percentage for group bookings through ALHI.
