Aloft Opens Second Hotel in Seoul

Marriott International’s Millennial-focused Aloft brand has opened its second hotel in Seoul and South Korea.

The new Aloft Seoul Myeongdong has 223 loft-inspired guestrooms, each with nine-foot ceilings and signature brand amenities, such as platform beds, walk-in rain showers, 43" LCD TVs, and fast and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

For dining options, the hotel has NOOK, an all-day dining restaurant with freshly cooked all-you-can-eat breakfast, and Re:fuel by Aloft – a one-stop gourmet grab and go food and beverage area. After a day of shopping, sightseeing or meetings, guests can unwind and enjoy live music at the brand’s signature W XYZ bar. Other recreational facilities include the Re:chargeM fitness center.

For meetings and events, Aloft Seoul Myeongdong has 169 square meters of versatile space with A/V equipment. For collaboration, the Tactic meeting spaces can be divided into two separate rooms. The Balios banquet rooms can also host business and social functions.

Additionally, the hotel’s location enables convenient access to four subway stations, each within a 400 to 600 meter walk, including the main Seoul Station in Yongsan District, which is a 43-minute express train ride from Incheon International Airport

As part of its grand opening, Aloft Seoul Myeongdong has launched an opening package starting from KRW 135,000 per night in an aloft room, including a welcome fresh juice.

Jason Kim is the general manager of the property. The opening brings the Aloft brand to more than 100 hotels in 19 countries around the world. Aloft hotels participate in the Starwood Preferred Guest loyalty program, which also allows members to link accounts with Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards for instant elite status matching and unlimited points transfer.
