Travel Agent sat down last week with representatives of AMResorts and learned that the company has plans to expand beyond Mexico and the Caribbean for the first time in the company’s history.

According to Kevin Wojciechowski, vice president of sales and marketing, AMResorts is looking to expand its new Zoëtry Wellness & Spa brand to destinations that include Costa Rica and Hawaii. Although the plans are still in the early stages, Wojciechowski told us that four new Zoëtry Wellness & Spa hotels, including new developments and re-branded hotels, will be announced within the first quarter of next year.

The Zoëtry Wellness & Spa brand, which was launched this summer, will be a group of boutique hotels representing “the highest level of luxury” with added-values ranging from golf to catamaran tours already included in the rate. The flagship property for the brand is the recently acquired Paraiso de la Bonita, which is located in Mexico’s Riviera Maya.
