The Courtyard by Marriott in Louisville, Colorado has become the first hotel in the United States to install a B-cycle bike rental kiosk on its property. B-cycle is the first large-scale municipal bike sharing system in the United States with B-stations located across the country. The bike-rental kiosk at the Courtyard Boulder Louisville, though not part of the bicycle-sharing network, still provides a fun way for guests to visit nearby restaurants, attractions and biking trails.

General Manager Matt Hoffman said, “B-cycles stretch the landscape for our guests and employees at surrounding businesses who don’t have a vehicle or want a ‘greener’ option.”

White Lodging Services Corporation, headquartered in Merrillville, Indiana, is a hotel ownership, development, and operations company that represents the Courtyard Boulder Louisville. Regional Vice President Lucie Manley said, “I have seen locals and tourists riding the distinctive red bikes, and my hope is that our hotel guests and nearby residents will take advantage of this new amenity we offer at the Courtyard.”

The 154-room Courtyard Boulder Louisville, located off US 36, is also a member of 36 Commuting Solutions. The non-profit organization is dedicated to reducing congestion and delivering clean commuting options for the area surrounding US 36.
