Fairmont Promotes Sergot to VP Global Sales

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts on Friday announced Mark Sergot as its new vice president of global sales. Sergot previously served as Fairmont's regional director of sales and marketing for the U.S. Central region. He will now be responsible for the strategic direction, deployment and productivity of Fairmont's global sales organization, as well as overseeing all segment strategies and support initiatives for the luxury brand. The Toronto-based luxury hotel operator is currently growing its international pipeline at a steady rate. "There are abundant growth opportunities throughout Europe, Africa and the Middles East for our international brands," said Tom Storey, executive vice president, development for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, earlier this month.
